As The World Wakes Tomorrow

As The World Wakes Tomorrow

The first moments of the day tomorrow Tuesday, November 5th, before our mind is fully awake, can be a wonderful time for meditation. Before you put two feet on the floor meditate.

As the delicate hues of dawn approach, Mother Nature finds herself in a realm of tranquility. The Earth’s energy remains steady, undisturbed by the chaotic vibrations that accompany humanity’s daily activities.

As dawn breaks and the sun’s golden rays timidly peek over the horizon, our animalistic instincts linger in the realm of dreams, even as our waking consciousness emerges. The restorative power of deep sleep has cleansed us of life’s impurities, leaving us with heightened mental, physical, and emotional potential.

In the tranquil yet vibrant space between day and night, meditation offers a profound connection to the divine. Through morning contemplation, we forge a deeper bond with the universal life force. Our consciousness transforms into a mirror, reflecting the collective earthly awareness. As the world awakens, we awaken with it, embracing the joy of existence. This serene practice sets the tone for a fulfilling day, permeated with tranquility and contentment.

As the first rays of dawn cast a magnificent glow upon the world, the light, air, and energy that surround us seem to whisper secrets about the day ahead. We acknowledge that each new day brings with it the inherent challenges of action and reaction, yet we also recognize that we can harness the unique energetic qualities of daybreak to find solace, creativity, and vitality.

In the simple acknowledgment of a new day’s gift, we find contentment. The gentle ascent of the sun, accompanied by the sights and sounds of nature, inspires us. Birds serenade the growing luminosity of the morning, invigorating our senses. While we may initially feel lingering lethargy, meditation allows us to connect with the awakening of others, restoring our vitality. At the dawn of each day, our fate remains unwritten, presenting endless possibilities for accomplishment and growth.

The significance of meditation lies not in the specific techniques we employ, but rather in our conscious decision to align ourselves with the omnipresent spirit of wakefulness that pervades the world. Even a fleeting moment of silent contemplation, bathed in the soft glow of the rising sun, holds the power to bring clarity and perspective to the uncertain future. It is through these daybreak reflections that our lives are infused with the same steadfastness, serenity, and heightened awareness that humanity has long attributed to the tranquil ambiance of early mornings.

Moments of Loneliness

In moments of loneliness, we lose sight of the interconnectedness of all beings. The illusion of separateness from the collective whole emerges.

In moments of loneliness, we often succumb to the illusion that we are solitary entities in a world of disconnected individuals. However, this notion is fundamentally flawed. Our interconnectedness with our surroundings mirrors the inseparable bond between a fish and the water it swims in. Just as a fish cannot exist outside of its aquatic environment, we cannot truly be separated from the world we inhabit.

Upon closer examination, the boundaries we perceive as rigid and unyielding reveal themselves to be porous and fluid. Consider the intricate interplay between our skin and the surrounding air. Where does our skin end, and the air begin? This distinction becomes blurred when we observe how our skin responds to changes in air quality. When the air is dry, our skin becomes parched and rough, and when the air is humid, our skin becomes moist and supple. This dynamic relationship challenges our conventional understanding of fixed boundaries and highlights the interconnectedness of our bodies with the environment.

Furthermore, distinguishing the boundaries between individuals can be challenging, particularly when our actions create an unbreakable bond between us. Each action we take has an impact that extends to everyone around us. On a deeper level, when we share a space with another person, we often absorb their energy, subconsciously attuning to their emotions, regardless of our intentions.

When we say that a mood or feeling is contagious, we mean that it can spread from one person to another. This is because we are all connected to the same energetic force that unifies all life. As a result, we are influenced by the realities of the people around us, and we can take on their moods and feelings. The great mystics and gurus encourage us to move toward this unifying force, which is the light that we will dissolve into when we transcend our egos.

When loneliness results from a limited understanding of our true nature, it can act as a catalyst for self-exploration and an opportunity to challenge our perceptions of reality. By questioning the boundaries we believe isolate us from the world around us, we discover that these barriers are not as impenetrable as we thought. This realization dispels the illusion of isolation, reminding us that true solitude is an impossibility.

Where Is Your Self-Worth?

Where is your self-worth?

Excessive apologizing may indicate a lack of self-worth and low self-esteem.

In social interactions, apologizing is a common courtesy that maintains politeness. While it’s beneficial, excessive apologizing for everything warrants introspection. It’s crucial to understand the underlying reasons behind the constant urge to utter “I’m sorry” to gain clarity and make necessary adjustments.

When confronted with a situation that has gone awry, expressing regret through the words “I’m sorry” implies accountability for one’s actions. Whether it’s negotiating parking spots, navigating crowded supermarket aisles, or reaching for desired items, there are instances where an apology is appropriate. However, there are also times when a simple “excuse me” better reflects the nature of the encounter.

“Saying ‘sorry’ can sometimes feel like you’re giving the other person more importance than yourself. Of course, sometimes it’s just a harmless way to chill things down. But if you find yourself apologizing all the time, it might be worth digging deeper and figuring out why that is. If it’s a habit, breaking it might just take a little mindfulness and practice.”

To begin the process of reducing your apologies, start by observing yourself throughout your day. Pay attention to each instance when you apologize, without judging yourself. Initially, you may be surprised to notice how frequently you apologize, perhaps more than you realize. After a day or two of observation, focus on understanding the feelings you experience immediately before apologizing.

During confrontations, you may experience a range of emotions like feeling threatened, embarrassed, or overwhelmed by intense anxiety. Instead of immediately reacting with words, take a moment to pause and simply acknowledge the feeling that arises. It might be a familiar emotion from your childhood that has persisted over time. The more you recognize and accept these feelings, the less likely you will be to carry the burden of regret.

Places We Journey

The Places We Journey

In life, most of us want stuff we’ve pictured in our heads. We got plans and ideas, some of them straight from the big guy upstairs, that we wanna see happen. We wanna be happy, successful, and healthy, which is all normal and human. So, when life throws us curveballs that we didn’t sign up for, it can feel like something went sideways or like we messed up somewhere along the way.

In real life, sometimes things happen that we don’t always understand. It’s like life has a plan for us, and these tough times are meant to help us grow and learn. It’s like life is saying, “Hey, wake up and pay attention! There’s something deeper going on here.” These challenges are meant to show us what we’re made of and make our lives more meaningful.

Often, it takes a big event to shake us up and make us realize that the ego isn’t really in control. Losing control can be humbling and help us see the bigger picture. It reminds us that there’s a lot we don’t know about the universe, and what we do know is just a tiny part of the big mystery we’re all a part of.

This mindfulness stuff makes us less tense and more easygoing because it helps us let go of our stubbornness and accept things as they are. Another cool thing about going through tough times is that we get to see all the old issues and emotional baggage that are blocking us from feeling happy. Happiness is always there inside us, whether things are going our way or not. Even when we’re feeling down, we can still believe that we can find happiness if we’re willing to accept the situation and work through it.

Picture this: you’re like a character from a fairy tale, lost in the middle of a gloomy forest, feeling scared and all alone. But here’s the thing, that journey through the dark woods, as gloomy as it may seem, has its unique beauty and depth. It’s like a transformative experience. When you come out on the other side, you’ll be a whole new person—lighter, brighter, bolder, and more confident for having faced that darkness.

Put Your Self-Care First

Put Your Self-Care First

Putting yourself first means it may be necessary to say no to someone else to say yes to yourself.

The familiar advice of airline attendants to prioritize wearing their oxygen masks before assisting others has become a widely cited metaphor for self-care. The reasoning behind this instruction extends beyond safety procedures. It emphasizes the crucial importance of self-care for our well-being and ability to support others effectively. This seemingly paradoxical advice suggests that caring for ourselves is not only a personal necessity but also a means of enhancing our capacity to care for others.

In the myriad of daily obligations, taking care of ourselves seems to often fall by the wayside. We prioritize everything else until we succumb to illness, exhaustion, or overwhelming stress, realizing that we have neglected our own needs. It is at this point that we comprehend the imperative of self-care, not as a form of selfishness or indulgence, but as a fundamental necessity for our well-being and the ability to care for others who depend on us.

Prioritizing self-care may involve declining certain requests to focus on your well-being. It’s common to feel obligated to assist others, but remember the “oxygen metaphor”: just as you need oxygen before assisting others on a flight, you need to care for yourself to be an effective caregiver to others. Remind yourself that self-care enhances your ability to support others and develop a mantra that resonates with you, such as “By caring for myself, I become more capable of caring for others.”

Remember that self-care doesn’t need to be extremely time-consuming. The most effective prescription for self-care is perhaps small, daily rituals. This could include taking 30 minutes for yourself at the beginning and end of the day to meditate, write in a journal, or simply relax. You could also occasionally indulge in a half-hour self-pampering session by transforming your daily shower or bath into a luxurious experience.

Prioritizing self-care, even in small ways, can significantly benefit you and those you care about. Just as we all need oxygen to survive, we also require moments of self-nurturing to thrive. It’s crucial to remember to take these breaths of self-care regularly, just as we naturally breathe air to stay alive.

Create A More Meaningful Workplace

Finding a deeper sense of meaning and connection at work involves integrating your values, beliefs, and spirituality into your professional life.

Integrating your values, beliefs, and spirituality into your professional life is a journey that can profoundly impact your overall well-being and satisfaction. By aligning your work with what truly matters to you, you not only enhance your sense of purpose but also create a more authentic and fulfilling professional experience. This process often involves reflection, self-discovery, and a conscious effort to weave your core principles into the fabric of your career. When you bring your whole self to work, you can contribute in a way that is deeply meaningful to you, and in turn, positively influences those around you.

Creating a Meaningful Workplace

Here are some strategies to help you achieve this:

1. Identify Your Core Values and Beliefs

Reflect on what truly matters to you. What are your core values and beliefs? Understanding these can help you align your work with your deeper sense of purpose.

2. Seek Purpose in Your Work

Look for ways your job contributes to the greater good. How does your work help others or make a positive impact on the world? Focusing on this can provide a sense of purpose.

3. Integrate Your Spiritual Practices

Incorporate spiritual practices into your daily work routine. This could include:

  • Mindfulness and Meditation: Take a few moments each day to meditate or practice mindfulness. This can help you stay grounded and connected to your spiritual self.
  • Gratitude Practices: Regularly express gratitude for your job, your colleagues, and the opportunities you have. This can foster a positive mindset and a sense of connection.
  • Workplace Journaling:  Keep a little notebook at work to jot down important items of the day, clients you wanna remember, along with amazing moments. And if there’s someone you’re clashing with, try writing something nice about them – it’ll change your whole outlook.

4. Foster Meaningful Relationships

Build strong, authentic relationships with your colleagues. Share your values and listen to theirs. This can create a supportive community and a sense of belonging at work.

5. Serve Others

Look for ways to serve others in your workplace. Acts of kindness, mentorship, and support can help you feel more connected to your colleagues and the larger mission of your organization.

6. Align Your Work with Your Passions

Whenever possible, take on projects or roles that align with your passions and interests. This alignment can make your work feel more meaningful and fulfilling.

7. Reflect and Find Meaning in Your Work

Regularly reflect on your work and its impact. Journaling about your experiences and how your job connects to your larger purpose can reinforce a sense of meaning.

8. Create a Positive Work Environment

Contribute to creating a work environment that values integrity, respect, and collaboration. A positive atmosphere can enhance your sense of fulfillment and connection.

9. Engage in Lifelong Learning

Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth. Learning new skills and gaining new insights can keep you engaged and connected to a larger purpose.

10. Balance Work and Life

Maintain a healthy work-life balance. This can help ensure that your work does not become overwhelming and allows you to bring your whole self to your job.

11. Advocate for Meaningful Work

If possible, advocate for changes in your workplace that align with your values. This could include promoting ethical practices, sustainability, or corporate social responsibility.

12. Connect Your Work to a Larger Mission

If your organization has a larger mission or vision that resonates with you, find ways to connect your daily tasks to that mission. This alignment can provide a deeper sense of purpose.

13. Volunteer or Participate in Community Service

Engage in volunteer activities or community service through your workplace. This can help you feel more connected to your community and give you a sense of contributing to the greater good.

14. Practice Ethical Leadership

If you are in a leadership position, lead with integrity and compassion. Inspire and empower others, and make decisions that reflect your values.

15. Mindfully Navigate Challenges

Approach work challenges with a mindful and resilient attitude. See them as opportunities for growth and learning, and as a part of your larger journey.

By integrating these practices, you can cultivate a deeper connection to your work, making it a more meaningful and fulfilling part of your life.

keep me posted to let me know which ones worked for you and which did not serve with purpose. ♥

Avoid Negative Vibes!

Avoid Negative Vibes!

To make sure we don’t pick up bad vibes from others or tough spots, we can learn to block them out.

Sometimes, hanging out with certain people or groups of people can leave you feeling drained. It’s like having a friend who sucks up all your energy, or a coworker who always brings the bad vibes. And don’t even get me started on toxic or angry people—they’re like energy vampires! Even being in a crowd can sometimes zap my energy instead of giving me a boost.

It’s not uncommon for people to radiate energy and be affected by the energy of others. It’s like we’re all little magnets, attracting and repelling vibes. The thing is, it’s important to learn how to protect yourself from taking on someone else’s energy. Not everyone knows how to do this naturally, so it’s something we might need to learn and practice.

If you’re worried about other people’s energy affecting you, I have a cool trick for you. It’s called shielding, and it’s like wrapping yourself up in a cozy cocoon of protective energy. Just picture this: you’re in the center of this cocoon, all snug and safe. And the best part is, you don’t need any fancy tools or rituals. All you gotta do is set the intention to shield yourself, and boom, you’re protected. Oh, and if you want to make it extra awesome, you can even create a trigger word that instantly activates your shield. So, next time you feel someone’s energy getting a little too intense, just say your trigger word, and bam, you’re shielded and ready to face the world! I envision myself wearing a shield across my chest.

Every time you make a new shield, just say this word out loud until it and the shield become besties in your head. If you meet someone who leaves you feeling drained, you might want to give your energy field a little TLC afterward. Some ways to do that are burning sage, taking a cold shower, singing your heart out, taking a mineral water bath, spending some time in nature, or just taking a break to recharge.

Do you know how we all focus on keeping away from negative energy? Well, there’s a flip side to that. Some energies are worth embracing. Think about it—the giggles of a newborn baby, the glow of someone in love, or the peaceful aura of a wise teacher. These are the vibes you want to surround yourself with, right?

Elevate Your Mental Well-being Through Organizing

Hello friends! I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share something that has had a big positive impact on my life, and I think you might find it helpful too.

It’s all about being more mindful. I know, I know, it sounds like something out of a self-help book, but it’s helped me to be more present and appreciate the little things in life.

There are a few things I do to practice mindfulness:

  • I try to focus on my breath when I’m feeling stressed or anxious.
  • I take a few minutes each day to just sit and be still in total silence.
  • I pay attention to the small details of my day, like the smell of coffee in the morning or the sound of birds singing and my princess-Kitty purring.

It’s not always easy to be mindful, but it’s worth it. I feel more relaxed and centered when I make an effort to be present.

Organizing is often seen as a practical thing, but it can have a big impact on our mental health. It’s not just about decluttering physical spaces; it’s about creating an environment that promotes clarity, peace, and a sense of control.

When our surroundings are organized, it can help us to feel more in control of our lives. It can also reduce stress and anxiety. Additionally, a clean and organized space can be more conducive to productivity and creativity.

If you’re looking to improve your mental health, consider decluttering and organizing your space. It may just make a big difference.

Here are some ways in which organizing can contribute to your mental health:

  • 1. Reduced Stress Levels: A clutter-free space promotes a sense of order and reduces the visual chaos that can lead to feelings of overwhelm. When we know where things are, we can approach tasks with greater ease and reduced stress.
  • 2. Enhanced Productivity and Focus: An organized environment allows us to focus on the task at hand without distractions. This can lead to increased productivity and a greater sense of accomplishment.
  • 3. Boosted Mental Clarity: A clutter-free space corresponds to a clutter-free mind. When we remove physical distractions, we create mental space for creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.
  • 4. Improved Time Management: A well-organized schedule and workspace can help you allocate your time more efficiently. This leads to a greater sense of control over your day-to-day activities.
  • 5. Promotes Mindfulness and Well-being: Engaging in the process of organizing encourages a mindful approach to our surroundings. It allows us to appreciate the present moment and take pride in our environment.
  • 6. Facilitates Goal Achievement: A clutter-free space allows you to visualize your goals more clearly. It’s easier to set and track progress towards your objectives when your surroundings support your ambitions.
  • 7. Creates a Relaxing Sanctuary: Coming home to an organized and tidy space can be incredibly calming. It provides a sanctuary where you can unwind, recharge, and find peace.

If you want to learn more about this, I’d be happy to share some practical tips and resources to get you started. Just remember, it’s not about being perfect, but about creating a space that works for you and your needs.

Here’s to a smooth and well-planned journey to better mental health!

Be Quiet and Listen . . .

Nature Sounds Meditation

Meditating with the calming sounds of nature is a great way to connect with something way bigger than yourself.

When we sit down to meditate, we usually focus on our breath to help us gather our thoughts and energy. This is because it’s easy to get distracted, but focusing on our breath helps us stay in the present moment. It’s like a tool that helps us center and ground ourselves.

  • The sounds of nature are all around us, like our breath
  • Whether it’s the rain, the wind, the ocean, or the birds

Listening to these sounds can bring us peace and connect us to the world around us.

It’s easy to get lost in our little worlds and forget that there’s a whole world out there. We get so caught up in our own goals and plans that we forget to take a step back and appreciate the world around us.

You know that feeling when you kind of take a step back from your everyday grind and just soak in all the good stuff around you? It’s like a switch flips inside, and suddenly the world feels bigger and brighter. Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about! When we give our attention to the background noise of life, we’re discovering this whole new dimension, and it’s pretty darn awesome. It’s like we’re connecting to something larger than ourselves, and it leaves us feeling refreshed and full of life. Isn’t that just the best?

So, you wanna find the perfect spot to meditate and connect with nature’s symphony? Look no further than the mighty ocean, my friend! Just plop yourself down somewhere comfy and let the thunderous roar of the crashing waves wash over you. Forget about your worries and ambitions for a while and just listen. And hey, don’t forget about rivers and lakes – they’ve got their tunes to share too!

Even if you’re a city dweller, you’ve gotta admit that the wind can make some crazy noises. It howls and whistles like crazy! And then there’s the rain. It can sound so different depending on where it lands. It’s like a whole orchestra out there!

Next time you hear these sounds, instead of ignoring them, really listen to them. Stop what you’re doing and take it all in. It’s like listening to a beautiful piece of music. Let the sounds of nature take you on a journey and just enjoy the show!

Peace ♥ Harmony, Cheryl
