As The World Wakes Tomorrow

As The World Wakes Tomorrow

The first moments of the day tomorrow Tuesday, November 5th, before our mind is fully awake, can be a wonderful time for meditation. Before you put two feet on the floor meditate.

As the delicate hues of dawn approach, Mother Nature finds herself in a realm of tranquility. The Earth’s energy remains steady, undisturbed by the chaotic vibrations that accompany humanity’s daily activities.

As dawn breaks and the sun’s golden rays timidly peek over the horizon, our animalistic instincts linger in the realm of dreams, even as our waking consciousness emerges. The restorative power of deep sleep has cleansed us of life’s impurities, leaving us with heightened mental, physical, and emotional potential.

In the tranquil yet vibrant space between day and night, meditation offers a profound connection to the divine. Through morning contemplation, we forge a deeper bond with the universal life force. Our consciousness transforms into a mirror, reflecting the collective earthly awareness. As the world awakens, we awaken with it, embracing the joy of existence. This serene practice sets the tone for a fulfilling day, permeated with tranquility and contentment.

As the first rays of dawn cast a magnificent glow upon the world, the light, air, and energy that surround us seem to whisper secrets about the day ahead. We acknowledge that each new day brings with it the inherent challenges of action and reaction, yet we also recognize that we can harness the unique energetic qualities of daybreak to find solace, creativity, and vitality.

In the simple acknowledgment of a new day’s gift, we find contentment. The gentle ascent of the sun, accompanied by the sights and sounds of nature, inspires us. Birds serenade the growing luminosity of the morning, invigorating our senses. While we may initially feel lingering lethargy, meditation allows us to connect with the awakening of others, restoring our vitality. At the dawn of each day, our fate remains unwritten, presenting endless possibilities for accomplishment and growth.

The significance of meditation lies not in the specific techniques we employ, but rather in our conscious decision to align ourselves with the omnipresent spirit of wakefulness that pervades the world. Even a fleeting moment of silent contemplation, bathed in the soft glow of the rising sun, holds the power to bring clarity and perspective to the uncertain future. It is through these daybreak reflections that our lives are infused with the same steadfastness, serenity, and heightened awareness that humanity has long attributed to the tranquil ambiance of early mornings.

Put Your Self-Care First

Put Your Self-Care First

Putting yourself first means it may be necessary to say no to someone else to say yes to yourself.

The familiar advice of airline attendants to prioritize wearing their oxygen masks before assisting others has become a widely cited metaphor for self-care. The reasoning behind this instruction extends beyond safety procedures. It emphasizes the crucial importance of self-care for our well-being and ability to support others effectively. This seemingly paradoxical advice suggests that caring for ourselves is not only a personal necessity but also a means of enhancing our capacity to care for others.

In the myriad of daily obligations, taking care of ourselves seems to often fall by the wayside. We prioritize everything else until we succumb to illness, exhaustion, or overwhelming stress, realizing that we have neglected our own needs. It is at this point that we comprehend the imperative of self-care, not as a form of selfishness or indulgence, but as a fundamental necessity for our well-being and the ability to care for others who depend on us.

Prioritizing self-care may involve declining certain requests to focus on your well-being. It’s common to feel obligated to assist others, but remember the “oxygen metaphor”: just as you need oxygen before assisting others on a flight, you need to care for yourself to be an effective caregiver to others. Remind yourself that self-care enhances your ability to support others and develop a mantra that resonates with you, such as “By caring for myself, I become more capable of caring for others.”

Remember that self-care doesn’t need to be extremely time-consuming. The most effective prescription for self-care is perhaps small, daily rituals. This could include taking 30 minutes for yourself at the beginning and end of the day to meditate, write in a journal, or simply relax. You could also occasionally indulge in a half-hour self-pampering session by transforming your daily shower or bath into a luxurious experience.

Prioritizing self-care, even in small ways, can significantly benefit you and those you care about. Just as we all need oxygen to survive, we also require moments of self-nurturing to thrive. It’s crucial to remember to take these breaths of self-care regularly, just as we naturally breathe air to stay alive.

It’s Better To Feel The Pain . . . Then Not!

The Ways We Keep Ourselves Numb

When you numb yourself, you avoid dealing with your problems, which stops you from finding a solution or feeling at peace.

You know how we’re all born with this crazy mix of emotions? It’s like we’re wired to feel a whole bunch of different stuff. But here’s the thing, a lot of us get all awkward when it comes to dealing with the big ones. We try to avoid feeling too happy or too sad, and it’s like we end up living in a world that’s all gray and boring.

We may numb ourselves to what we are truly feeling. It’s easier to suppress our emotions than to deal with them, so we may momentarily turn to pleasures such as alcohol, cannabis, food, sugar, shopping, and too much television.

So, we might just shut down our feelings, right? I mean, it’s okay to take a break from dealing with stuff sometimes, but if you do it too much, you’ll never face your problems head-on. And that means you’ll never find a way to fix them or feel better. It’s like, when you’re numb, you might not feel any pain, but you also can’t feel any happiness or get any better.

You know those things you do that make you feel all numb inside? Like, eating a whole pizza or going on a shopping spree? Well, they might seem like no big deal, but they’re not doing you any favors. When you numb yourself out, you’re not just avoiding those intense emotions, you’re also missing out on the good stuff, too.

It’s like you’re putting on a blindfold and trying to live your life. You might be able to get by, but you’re not really experiencing it. So, next time you feel the urge to numb out, try to find a way to face those emotions head-on. It might not be easy, but it’s worth it. Trust me, you’ll feel so much more alive.

Your feelings make your life more colorful and help you connect with the world around you. You can say goodbye to those boring behaviors, one step at a time, and start enjoying life’s tasty treats again. If you feel yourself doing something just to avoid feeling something, take a step back and think about why. Figuring out what’s making you want to check out emotionally can help understand yourself better.

Each time you quit doing something that numbs your feelings, you’ll start noticing things more and feeling “stuff” way better. It’s like your senses get super sharp, and all the bad stuff that’s been hiding in the back of your mind comes out into the open. But that’s a good thing because now you can finally deal with it and heal. You’ll find a whole new side of yourself, one that can handle even the toughest emotions with bravery and aspiration.

♪ ♫ Let’s Get Physical ♪ ♫

Getting fit is a never-ending process, not just a quick fix. The real joy comes from all the cool stuff you learn and experience while you’re on the journey.

When it comes to fitness, we often focus too much on specific goals, like achieving a certain body type, hitting a certain weight, or running a marathon. We get so fixated on the destination that we forget to enjoy the journey.

This mindset can mess with our heads and lead us to push ourselves too hard, get impatient, and doubt ourselves. We become so obsessed with the goals that we forget to enjoy the process. It can eventually lead to burnout or even worse, getting hurt.

Getting fit is not just about reaching a goal, it’s about the cool stuff you learn and feel along the way. Whether you’re into running, lifting weights, or just doing some yoga, it’s all about being in the moment and enjoying the ride.

You know that feeling when you’re exercising and it’s like your whole body is waking up? That’s because it totally is! When you move your body, it’s like opening a magic portal to your inner self. Suddenly, you feel energized, strong, and confident. It’s like your mind and body are working together like BFFs. So whether you’re dancing like a queen, swimming like a fish, running like the wind, walking like a boss, biking like a pro, or stretching like a yogi, keep moving and let your body work its magic!

Fitness goals are helpful to have — we all want to feel healthy, strong, and able. Goals give us motivation to keep going, and to see what we’re capable of. But also remember to listen to your body, honor its limits, and embrace the process of progress rather than perfection.—–

Hey you, fitness enthusiasts! Having fitness goals is totally cool — we all want to feel healthy, strong, and capable, and look good right? Goals give us that extra push to keep going and discover what we truly can. But here’s the thing: listening to your body is also important. Don’t push yourself too hard — respect its limits. It’s all about making progress and enjoying the journey, not aiming for perfection. So go ahead, embrace the process, and make it fun!

Life’s full of tiny wins! Celebrate every step forward, every time you feel stronger, and all the good stuff from just getting up and moving.

When you think about your fitness journey, ask yourself what kind of exercises do you dig? Maybe stick with what you know and love, or try something fresh. And don’t forget to set a goal and an intention to make it more meaningful.

So, you might have a goal like, “I wanna work out to get healthier, feel stronger, and love my body more.” Or maybe it’s, “I wanna have fun moving and let my body do its thing.” Whatever you want to achieve, your intention can really help you get there. And don’t forget to give yourself a pat on the back along the way! Taking care of your health is no small feat, so take a moment to appreciate all the progress you’re making.

Wellness Wednesday

I found these videos  when the world went into lockdown, I will be posting them weekly. Enjoy!

I have followed this videos tips and resources, here is how I put my wellness first:

I use the SLEEP CYCLE APP . . . it’s awesome!

I have been putting a glass of water by my bed since my early 20’s, the first thing I do before even putting my feet on the floor is take small sips of water – then I sit on the edge of my bed and do some sitting stretches and finish my 8oz glass of water. I will have to add this is a nice little trick when you have had too much to drink too! Just shouting that out . . . 🙂

If I want to look at my phone before bed, I have settings on my smartphone to gradual turns the screen darker as the sun goes down. I would rather read a book, it puts me in a better mindset to sleep rather than scrolling through nice or not so nice pictures.

Peace ♥ Harmoney
